2024 Health and Nutrition Summit Wrap Up
We hope you enjoy Cyndi's reflection of this year's incredible speaker line up and event. We are already looking forward to seeing you in 2025 for more education and connection.2024 Health and Nutrition Summit Wrap Up by Cyndi O'Meara
The 2024 Health & Nutrition Summit was held on 20th & 21st July at Caloundra, and we’re excited to be preparing for 2025 at the Nutrition Academy office. We wanted to take a moment to reflect on what we learned this year and share those learnings with those who may not have had the opportunity to come.
Firstly, if you didn’t make it, you can buy the recordings for only $97! Click here to purchase.
This year, Jade Miles, our farmer from Black Barn Farm spoke about rituals, reconnecting with the seasons, living like tomorrow matters and the QPSL code. QPSL stands for quality, preparation, seasonal and local food. If we can live by this that and pass that on, I think that would be wonderful.
Next up, Jalal Khan talked all about circadian rhythms and quantum biology. Specifically, he talked about the non-native EMS and light and kidney disease. We had a full day really dedicated to this field of quantum biology, with Jalal spending almost two hours talking about these related areas.
Andrew McIntyre was incredible. He spoke about the corruption of medical journals. Before Andrew took to the stage he had asked me, ‘do you think they’re ready to talk about the covid situation and the vaccine?’ and I replied with, ‘Yes, I think you could talk about it.’ I wondered with intrigue how he would tackle this, being a registered medical doctor. Cleverly, the way Andrew approached the topic was by discussing the vaccine and its effects in relation to cattle in Australia, specifically research into the vaccine and infertility rates. Andrew mentioned that these mRNA vaccines were not going to be rolled out to cattle until they are sure they are safe. That is certainly worth thinking about!
Dr Peta Stapleton talked on EFT, otherwise known as tapping. If you are attending our retreat in October, you will be tapping and discovering how to integrate that into your life. Peta also discussed the importance of collagen. My daughter, Tarnea O’Meara runs that Healthy Co., who produce wild collagen reds. I take the wild collagen reds every single day along with Sheridan’s liver, which I whip into yoghurt. That’s my ‘takeaway food’ if I’m in a hurry and can’t have a proper breakfast. I’d have coffee with cream and my collagen/ liver yoghurt mix. It keeps me satisfied until I can enjoy some lunch.
Our next speaker was Peter Dingle. Another incredible session! Peter spoke for almost three hours, and I was blown away by the breadth of information and his entertaining delivery of it. He focused on the gut and the fact that this really is our biggest issue. Once you have completed studies with The Nutrition Academy, you can work towards becoming a GAPS consultant. If you are not necessarily interested in that, read the book and understand the principles of GAPS for your own life. In my opinion, however, it really is worth considering doing the updated course. It is exceptional to see Dr Natasha McBride incorporating up-to-the-minute research and findings and sharing that through GAPS programme.
I loved Dr Dingle talking about the estrobolome, which is a collection of bacteria that aids in hormone recycling and hormone clearance in the body. If that system is not working, then our hormones will not be working at all.
Callan and Jake from Corrective Culture were our final speakers. Two incredible men that have really caught the attention of other young men and women. Callan talked to the importance of functional movement and Jake finished with a beautiful meditation.
It really was a truly amazing event this year and we already excited about what’s to come in 2025. I look forward to meeting new and old faces at next year’s event. Please come join us for the 2025 Summit and make a point to come and chat to me. I truly want to be here for people to make a difference in this world. I can’t do it by myself, but I can do it with you!
